Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

As set out in our values statement, all our children are encouraged to fulfil their potential in a happy, safe and nurturing environment. Our Equalities Policy sets out how we enact our values. We welcome all children, including those with physical disabilities and medical needs, and will make whatever adjustments we can in order to meet those needs. We also address other barriers to learning, including the needs of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, providing support from our Learning Mentor and therapeutic art sessions with our Nurture Leader.

Our aim is for all children to make the best possible progress through high quality teaching and learning. We provide all children with a broad and balanced education that meets their particular needs. While we aim to provide effective learning opportunities for all children, some children have additional needs which require more targeted provision.  Our Inclusion Policy sets out how we work to achieve that, describing provision for SEND, EAL and more able children within our school, as well as how we support children of different races and genders. Our SEND Offer below explains our specific provision for children with SEND. This provision is alongside the Leeds Local Offer.
